This dance discipline is the fastest growing and most popular style in the world of dance. Contemporary dance tends to utilize technique and movement from both ballet and modern dance. It also employs contact-release, floor work, fall and recovery, and improvisation. The dancer will focus on technique and expression that portray the feeling and mood of the music.
